Craft #2: Girl Scout Drums (Parents Needed)

Supplies:

- YOUR PARENTS!

- Girl Scout Cardboard Crates (or any cardboard box)

- Masking tape

- Scissors

- Cylinder container (to use to form the surface of the drums and shape the edges)

Directions:

1. Using your cylinder container, trace a circle on your cardboard and use scissors to cut it out (make sure your parents are watching or ask them to handle the scissors)

2. Cut 1 circle and 1 strip to wrap around the circle for each drum you want to make

3. Curl your strips along the lines of the cardboard

4. Cut a long piece of tape to use on the inside of the drum

5. Place the circle on a flat surface and curl the strip around the circle

6. Using the tape, place inside of the drums to tape the circle and sides together

7. Cut another long piece of tape to use on the outside of the drum

8. Put on your favorite song and pat along to the beat or make your beat!
